About Us

Who we are...

The Federal Employees Newark Federal Credit Union was form in January 1941. Since then we have operated a not-for-profit cooperative that provides lower cost financial services for its members, while also representing the best financial interests of its members. For over 70 years we have even kept the same name.

Our field of membership is limited to those having the following common bond: federal employees who work in or have their agency headquartered out of the following counties: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic and Union. MEMBERSHIP is now permitted for employees of federal contractors in the areas referenced above. There is also no longer any restriction on postal employees.

Membership also extends to members of the immediate families of credit union members and organizations of such person (e.g., unions for federal employees). Member groups include, but are not limited to, employees of the following agencies:
